FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Initial allocations:IDSP was launched during 2004-05 with the World Bank assistance (loan of USD 68.00 million) with financial allocation of Rs.408.36 crore as under:

Budget allocation for five years: 408.36 crore
World Bank Loan amount: 306.27 crore (75%)
GOI funding: 102.09 crore (25%)

Inclusion of Avian Influenza Component :On inclusion of Avian Influenza (AI) component in the project, the financial allocation of USD 28.00 million was made to DAHD in February 2007 for the Animal Health component. Thus an amount of USD 34.00 million was available for Human Health component till March 2010. 

Amount Cancellations :In March, 2010 the World Bank cancelled an amount of USD 8.00 million (USD 6 million from Human Health and USD 2 million from Animal Health) on request of GOI. In October 2011 an additional amount of USD 15.954 million was cancelled on request of GOI and agreed to by the Bank in January 2012.
